Dry Screed

Screed is a sand and cement mixture laid dry over the concrete sub-floor inside a building. It gives a durable solid, smooth and level surface onto which the final floor finish can be installed, such as tiles, laminate or carpet. Screed is a crucial step in ensuring the final performance, quality and durability of the entire floor system. It is recommended to be a laid at a thickness of between 55-75mm with a drying time of 1mm a day.

Our screeds come with retarder to delay the set so that you can work with one load all day. We can also add fibres to the floor screed which minimises shrinkage and cracking and provides reinforcement and better surface durability. Manor Mix Concrete supply commercial and domestic screed to clients throughout Berkshire, Buckinghamshire and Oxfordshire, including the towns of Henley-on-Thames, Oxford and Reading.
